Good Friday

Today I went to the church and prayed the stations of the cross. It is the worst feeling in the world to go there and see an empty tabernacle. It's just ... wrong.

Forced myself to watch the Passion of the Christ again. It always leaves me speechless.

Good Friday, indeed. Not "fun Friday".

We wait. We hope. We pray.

It is a horrible feeling. But it pales in comparison to "CRUCITY HIM!" I went to the Veneration of the Cross tonight, as well as Palm Sunday...I had to say it TWICE.

I love this time of year. I hate this time of year.

Wow. Friday and Saturday night were both packed at St. James in Falls Church, VA. Sunday noon mass didn't start until 12:30 or so because there were so many people taking communion at the 10:30 mass. (I have a 4yo boy, just turned 5 really. So I was glad we didn't go to the 10:30.)

Yep, it was SRO for much of the Triduum. Father reminded everyone on Easter that Jesus would be making an additional Command Appearance next week as well.
