Always wear a clean, white, pressed shirt.
Over-tip people who work with their hands, like the shoeshine guy.
Be nice; it gets you a lot farther.
Relax -- you probably can't do anything to get there any faster.
Get a good night's sleep. You're useless when you're not rested.
Call your wife and kids -- they miss you too.

I would agree with everything but the first. I always wear something comfortable, like jeans and a sweatshirt (unless I'm actually traveling with a client). To me comfort is the #1 priority when traveling, as it is miserable enough to begin with. :)
I also agree with everything but the first. Particularly after the last time I wore a clean, pressed, white shirt and dribbled salsa all the way down the front of it.
Comfort first, and change into something slightly sharper when I arrive.
But how true is the calling home... can't get enough of that!
(chuckle) Thanks, guys. I meant that the shirt should be worn once you get there, not on the plane (unless you have to go right to a meeting off the plane the way I did).
Otherwise, you end up looking like you slept in it anyway.
